My name is Lovinsa, I am 45 years old and I come from Wakiso District in southern Uganda. I am a single mother of six children and thank God they are all grown up and adults now. I have been separated from my husband for a very long time and managed to raise our 6 children on my own. Now, I still have my grandchildren who I take care of. I have a small business were I sell basic house household Items such as salt, sugar and many others. I joined the basket-weaving group with the hope that one day I will be able to get enough money to pay for my grandchildren to go to school and to grow my small business. We are very thankful for All Across Africa’s project because they have trained us in a new palm weaving technique. I am sure that when we begin to sell to All Across Africa, we will be able to provide for our families and even get out of poverty. To those who will be buying my products I would like to say thank you for helping us have hope for the future!
