Sara is 28, married, and the mother of four children. Before learning to make sisal bracelets, she farmed a very small plot of land owned by her family, (20m15) and earned money to support her family through her labor and farming. She decided to learn to make beautiful sisal bracelets in order to sell them in the US. With the money earned, she hopes to buy food for her family, pay school fees for her children and start to save money. Her husband supports her desire to produce bracelets. Later, if she earns enough money, she will open a small food shop to further increase her income. She lives in Bukeye, Commune Nyanza –Lac, Province Makamba, Burundi.
