My name is Seraphine and I am 37 years old. I am married and am a mother of three children: one boy and two girls. We live in Ruhango district in central Rwanda. I started weaving when I was 19 years old. Weaving has enabled me to help my husband, who is a farmer, to feed our kids, buy their clothes and pay their school fees and health insurance. My life has improved immensely since I became a weaver. My income has significantly increased by selling my baskets to All Across Africa. I am proud to be the highest earner in my family. My husband and I are excited to be planning a small project in that will happen this year. It is possible from the money we have saved each month. We are thankful to be excited about the future. My dream is one day build a house for my family and see my children finish their studies in university.
