My name is Jeanne and I was born to a family of four children. After my father died, my mother was left with too much responsibility to take care of us and could not do it alone. My mother was not always able to feed us and we suffered. I stopped my studies before I went to secondary school so that I cold find a way to help my mother. Our lives have changed now that I weave and sell baskets to All Across Africa. I am able to help my mother buy food, pay for school fees and materials for my younger sisters, and solve many of life’s other problems that require money. I am happy to contribute. My dream is to live in peace within the community, to go back to school, and to one day build a big house for my family.
