My name is Dorothe and I am 38 years old and have a husband and two children. I learned to weave from my sister when I was 20 years old. My husband is a farmer and earns a small income. Before I started weaving, we were very poor and my husband would push me to go find a job to contribute. Now that I started to weave for All Across Africa and earn money, we are able to buy food, clothes for our children, materials and fees for school and medical insurance for our family. I am happy because through weaving, I have helped my husband to develop our family and earned his respect. He tells other men he has a good, intelligent wife. My dream is to see all of my children finish their university studies and build a big house for my family.
