My name is Mukantagara Console. I am 33 years old. I have a husband and four children. All of my children are in school. Now I have been weaving for 19 years. Before I started to weave I was a farmer. My life in that period was not easy because I had many problems which I was not able to resolve. I was hopeless, no food, no clothes. Many times my children were sick because of malnutrition but after I learned to weave, my life was changed because I am getting much money from selling my baskets. Many problems were resolved because I am able to satisfy our basic needs. I have a personal account where I saved some money each month. I plan to purchase a big land for cultivation. And my dreams are to see all my children finished their studies in university and build a big house for my family. I am thankful for everyone who buys our baskets because they help us to fight the poverty.
