I come from the village called Vugamira in Kakiri sub-county Wakiso District. I have three children, all of them are attending school in our village area. I got to know about the weaving training program with AAA through the mobilization effort of the village Local Councilor 1 (LC1) and so I joined mainly because I wanted to learn new products. I have been weaving palms to make sitting mats for a very long time, I should say since I was a young girl. My mother showed us how, and we would weave these mats to sell in the villages to get some income. I have also been teaching my children. My expectation with this training program is that after learning how to make these new products, AAA will buy our product and sell them in America. This will mean we will be able to access more markets and then get more money to help us meet our basic and house hold needs.
